Nick McGinley's journey with Flight Centre Travel Group began at the start of 2021. He dived into the role of Operations Accountant for the Flight Centre Brand in the Leisure Pillar, where he quickly got a solid grip on the leisure travel sector's ins and outs.
Later that year, Nick transitioned to a Financial Accountant role, supporting the Flight Centre Brand AU Marketing Team. This shift allowed him to understand how financial strategies align with promotional activities and brand positioning.
By mid-2022, Nick took on a new challenge in the Corporate Pillar as a Commercial Analyst for Large Market Brands, supporting FCM, Stage & Screen, and FCM Meetings & Events. This role provided him with a comprehensive view of the corporate travel landscape and the complexities of managing large market accounts.
In May 2023, Nick achieved a lifelong dream by moving to UK. He now serves as a Management Accountant for EMEA Corporate Technology, a role that signifies his growth within FCTG and his aspiration to live and work abroad.

Inspired by his parents' experiences living and working in London, Nick saw this move as an opportunity to broaden his horizons, face new challenges, and become more worldly.
Living in London is a constant adventure for Nick. The opportunity to experience diverse cultures and the ability to easily explore Europe is one of the most rewarding aspects of moving there.
“London is a city where boredom doesn't exist, there's always something happening! It's a dynamic, global city and a melting pot of cultures. London's location makes it an ideal hub for exploring Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North America.”

Before Nick’s big move, he was unsure about timing. He confided in a mentor at Flight Centre Travel Group who had previously moved overseas, as a result, he received invaluable advice. This advice really stuck with Nick and played a crucial part in his decision to take the leap.
"There will never be a perfect time or situation to make the move. You’ve just got to do it, commit, and not look back. Otherwise, you might regret it." – Nick recalls his mentor's words.
Nick believes Flight Centre Travel Group is the perfect company to explore global opportunities. With offices in many countries worldwide, there are countless roles that encourage and welcome the experience of global mobility.
